Former National Schools Commissioner for England
David’s whole career has been in education. He has been a headteacher since 1998 and, between 2015 and 2018, he was the National Schools Commissioner for England.
His role then and now is simply to play a part in this becoming the best country in which to educate a child.
Jack Worth
Education Workforce Lead at NFER
Jack Worth leads NFER’s research on the education workforce, providing research insights and policy commentary as an expert on the issues affecting teachers, support staff and others.
His research and analysis aim to understand the education and identify ways of improving staff recruitment and retention.
Evelyn Forde MBE
Former President of the Association of School and College Leaders
As a system leader and former President of ASCL, Evelyn is acutely aware of the challenges schools, trusts, and colleges face today.
Influencing policy remains a key lever for change, and Evelyn sits on several Boards and Committees, keen to use her position to advocate for systemic transformation.
Roisin McEvoy
Head of Training and National Programmes at Anna Freud
Roisin leads the team of education and clinical experts who deliver professional learning and national programmes around whole-school approaches to mental health and wellbeing.
She is a former teacher and school leader in London secondary schools.
John Murphy
Former Chief Executive of Oasis Community Learning
As the former CEO of one of England’s largest MATs, John is passionate about developing and enabling others.
His expertise spans from one-to-one mentoring, strategy, and organisational development, to school improvement, senior recruitment and behaviour management.
Dr Kathy Weston
Founder of Tooled Up Education
Kathy has worked as a policy researcher and an educational researcher in Higher education, and currently leads Tooled Up Education – a holistic resource bank of evidence-based resources and CPD for school staff on all aspects of parenting, family life and education
Iona Jackson
Managing Director of Edurio
Iona leads on turning Edurio’s national datasets into useful and impactful insights for trust and school leaders. Since joining Edurio in 2021, Iona has worked on national reports focused on topics such as equality, diversity and inclusion and staff retention.
Ben Haslewood
Insights Specialist at Edurio
Ben’s research provides national-level insights on key topics such as high-quality education, staff retention, pupil behaviour, and trust culture. Collaborating with industry experts, his work helps guide policy and practice across the sector. Ben’s past experience in Local Councils and Private Education Settings deepens his understanding of current and future challenges.
