Improving Staff Retention in Academies
Improving Staff Retention in Academies
10,530 teachers, school leaders, administrators and other staff members at 322 academies across England have responded to the Edurio Staff Wellbeing and Working Conditions Survey.
This survey report not only establishes just how many staff members are currently at risk of resigning, but also dives deeper into the driving forces behind their decisions to stay or go.
Retention has been a growing concern in recent years. But it's a complex issue to solve — or even to fully understand.
The objective of the Edurio Staff Wellbeing and Working Conditions Survey was to better understand which staff members at which schools were most at risk of resigning and, more importantly — WHY?
The survey was designed in collaboration with University College London Institute of Education and asked questions about six key factors identified as having the greatest influence on retention.
