SURVEYS
Research has shown that student perceptions strongly correlate with learning outcomes and can be an important improvement tool for schools. Ofsted also recognises that pupil voice can contribute to a school's improvement, and they expect schools to demonstrate how they have listened to pupils' views and taken them into account when making decisions.
Our Pupil Learning Experience and Wellbeing Survey gathers feedback from students about their learning excellence, wellbeing, and learning environment.
Keeping children safe in education provides schools with the legal duties they must follow to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Our Pupil Safeguarding Questionnaire allows schools to incorporate student voice into their safeguarding strategy and deepen their understanding of possible safeguarding risks or challenges. By completing this survey, schools can proactively identify issues (prior to Ofsted and risk to pupils) and target dedicated resources in the most impactful areas.

The mental wellbeing of children and young adults has been an area of increasing concern in recent years. This report provides a high-level summary of pupils' health and emotional wellbeing, safeguarding and workload.
Safeguarding in the curriculum
Intimate relationships are a statutory curriculum module in secondary schools. Despite this, only 44% of secondary-aged pupils report they were taught about intimate relationships, including sexual health, in the last year.
Pupil safeguarding overview
Our safeguarding survey reviews the effectiveness of school and trust safeguarding policies to understand whether pupils feel safe in various settings and whether their school has prepared them for what to do if they do not.
Readiness to learn
There is a clear correlation between students' feelings of safety and how able they feel to learn new things. 71% of pupils who felt “very safe” or “quite safe”, felt they were either “quite able” to or “very able” to understand new things.
Race and ethnicity
Black, Black British, Black Caribbean or African pupils responded less positively than White English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish or British students to the question, “How often do you feel that your teachers treat you fairly?”.
